2008 Kuota K-Factor Road Bike (Professional Race) Floor Model

Price: 1,399.95
RB11808003

Kuota K-Factor Road Bike: We are big fans of the Kuota K-Factor. It looks amazing and the ride is inspiring. Born as a triathlon bike the folks at Kuota are now offering this frame as a road bike build. This is a great opportunity to get a road bike that can later be used for triathlon (the fastest growing cycling related sport). This is just the bike to get you going on the road and even into tri. For starters, tri bikes have slightly steeper seat tubes to place the rider further over the cranks than a road bike. This allows the rider to use the larger quad muscles over the smaller calf muscles. Tri bikes also take advantage of aero-shaped tubing to slice through the air with less resistance. Now take those attributes and apply them to a road bike format. What you get is a comfortable quick bike that likes to shoot down the road. Tri frames in general have slightly shorter top tubes to put the pilot in a comfortable position when using aerobars. The difference in most cases is 1-1.5cm. A proper fit is easily obtained by refrencing the size chart and the usual minor tweaks of saddle position and/or stem. The generous head tube size of the K-Factor allows this bike to be utilized in many different formats. Start with the road build and add an aero bar clip-on and you are set to go! If you decide that triathlon is for you then you can replace the road handlebar with a full blown tri bar and go all out. Without getting too technical, it is easier to transform a tri bike into a road bike than a road bike into a tri bike. One of the key factors is the placement of the wheel under the rider. On a road bike geometry the rear wheel may be too far back and will alter the ride quality when the riders weight is placed on an aerobar extension. With too much weight coming off of the rear wheel the bike handling will become unbalanced and suffer. On a tri- geometry the wheel is tucked under the rider (thus the wheel cutout on the seat tube) and handling is not affected as much by utilizing road or tri bars. Paired up with the carbon frame is Shimanos Ultegra SL and 105 components. Every year Ultegra inherits the best qualities of the Dura-Ace group but the price is almost half of its big brother. For years Ultegra has been providing solid performance and dependability at a price to performance ratio that cant be beat. Kuota matched up the 10 speed Shimano Ultegra SL shifters with the amazingly reliable Ultegra SL rear derailleur, Shimano 105 front derailleur and Shimano 10 speed cassette. Braking power is provided by Shimano 105 calipers. Keeping things rolling in the Shimano RS10 wheelset. Shimano wheels have long been known for quality and dependability. The K-Factor frame is built in one piece (monocoque construction) and its geometry fits a larger group of people and it offers nice features like taller head tube (more comfortable to ride), air flow channel on top tube, full 12K weave, exclusive horizontal dropout with interchangeable hanger. Our desire is to offer the opportunity to a larger range of athletes to live the Kuota experience. The K-factor is the result of our passion and expertise and we believe that what Kuota offer you is the state of the art in bicycle industry. We have provided a size chart with suggested heights per frame for consumers. At The Randall Scott Company we want to take the confusion out of purchasing bikes online. Assembly Details for the 2008 Kuota Kharma While most of our bikes come standard in śfactory directť condition roughly 80% assembled, the Kuota Kharma has not been pre-assembled at the factory and will require a frame-up assembly by a professional bike mechanic. We recommend purchasing our professional assembly service śPro-Buildť for $59.95 (most shops will charge upward of $100 for a frame up build). If you choose not to have the bike built by us we encourage you to bring your bike to a local shop for assembly by a professional. Only sizes 56.5 cm and 58.5 cm are left. Spring is almost here and that means the tri season is fast approaching. Time to see what a winter of training will yield. Better yet, its time to upgrade to a Kuota K-Factor tri bike to get the most from your training. The Kuota K-Factor is an amazing ride because Kuota understands that comfort and speed go hand in hand. While most bike companies think adding an aero bar to a bike makes it a tri bike, they fail to recognize the reasons and philosophy behind producing a successful racing machine.Fit, it starts with a great fit. Kuotas proper head tube lengths for frame size make for easy to fit bikes for a wide variety of riders. Kuota also utilizes a 76-degree seat tube angle to position the rider over the pedals properly. Using those quads instead of those runners calves will leave you fresh for the run. The light, sleek carbon frame will have you very familiar with the USAT passing rules of triathlon. Be sure to say on your left as you leave the competition behind. The Profile T2 Aero bars and T2+ extensions will provide miles of comfort and control. Shimano Ultegra and 105 components make us a solid drivetrain for the toughest of courses while the San Marco Azoto saddle tames the tarmac with its padded nose and ergonomic fit. The Kuota K-Factor is a bike for the vicious quick sprints to the long journey of the Ironman. Being successful in triathlon is knowing when to expend energy and to what extent. Being successful in purchasing a new bike is knowing what to spend and when.

2008 Kuota Kharma Road Bike (Professional Race)

Price: 1,499.95
RB11808001

Only sizes 58 cm and 61 cm are left. While this is a new offering from the Randall Scott Company this bike is no stranger to the staff. Our test rider spent 3,000 miles on the Kharma and filed the following report: The Kuota Kharma is a wonderful surprise in the world of look-alike carbon bikes. Too many companies are throwing parts on a carbon frame hoping that the allure of carbon will be enough to make wallets and purses fly open. The Kuota Kharma is a different beast. It is a cost effective bike with a purposeful design and stunning good looks (carbon and white together are dead sexy!). The frame is oversized at the head tube and has stout down tube for sure handling and stiffness. The rear end of the bike sits well for control and comfort. The Kuota KF09 carbon fork does more than hold the front wheel in place. The fork gives confident feedback during the ride and guides through the descents. Small moves in a packed peloton or soloing down the side of a mountain can be made almost through thought alone. I spent many test days in the mountains and churning the flats pushing this bike to the limits. It climbs, descends and collects town signs sprints like Florida collects Buicks. There is great reward to be had from a machine that answers the call for performance and speed and can do so hours on end comfortably. Get this bike! The RS Cycle Kuota Kharma comes dressed out with a Shimano Ultegra rear derailleur and Shimano 105 front derailleur. Quality Shimano chain and Ultegra SL shifters will hold up for years of shifting precision. Vittoria Zaffiro tires and Shimano RS10 wheels keep the wheels true and on the rail. A San Marco Ponza saddle is the classic perch that leads to the a cockpit consisting of the Deda Big Piega handlebar and Deda Quatro stem. If you are looking for shortcomings, you may want to check what your friends are riding!

2009 Mongoose Boot'R (Downhill)

Price: 2,399.95
MB11809001

The Boot'r frame is impressive, with a lot of little bits and touches that I was not expecting to see. The black 'goose sports a 1.5" head tube up front, filled with a low-stack internal headset to keep things low and strong. Both the top and down tubes feature multi profiled shapes in the name of stiffness and stand over height. Cable routing simply disappears into the frame, with the built in guides under the forward shock mount being one of those "little bits" that all add up to a quality build. It's also good to see that the Boot'r uses as short as possible hardware for its Vivid's shock mounting reducers and bolts, a load stronger than running long bolts that bend easy. Those same bolts are also countersunk into the frame, for aerodynamics obviously! Every bead on the entire frame is even and consistent, no shoddy Friday afternoon welding to be found on this 'goose.

2009 Mongoose Pinn'R (Freeride)

Price: 1,999.95
MB11809002

The Mongoose Pinnr Mountin Bike is a true freeride bike that will definately make an impact in the industry. The head tube features a low-stack headset that minimizes unwanted front-end loft. The tube set features remarkably angular, styley, monocoque profiles with a bent top tube to maximize standover. The Pinn'r also has an interrupted seat tube that makes way for the shock and mounts and a remarkably high down tube. The design is brutally strong, stiff and uniquely Mongoose. For those of us that believe weld beads are art, you are going to be able to stand back and drink in the beauty of long, exquisite lines. Mountain bikes could learn a thing or two about cable routing from the world of road bikes, where visible lines are taboo. The Pinnr does not have internally routed cables but the routing is remarkably low-key, passing along the down tube through specific channels that run below the shock and its mounts. The Pinnr also uses a unique suspension design that Mongoose calls FreeDrive. The bottom bracket and mount for the shock are on a separate frame component from the front or rear triangles, and float between the two main frame pieces using a series of pivots and a small dogbone. (See video below) Features: FRAME: New Mongoose FreeDrive Freeride 6061 Aluminum w/ Patented Floating BB, 1.5 Headtube, 150mm Maxle Dropouts, 190mm Travel FORK/SHOCK: Marzocchi 66 RCV w/ Preload, Compression & Rebound Adjust, 180mm Travel, 20mm Tool-Free Thru-Axle; Fox Van R Coilover w/ Piggyback Reservoir, Rebound & Preload Adjust DRIVETRAIN: Shimano SLX 9-Speed Derailleur & Deore Trigger Shifter; Gravity Step Up 36t Crankset w/ External Bearings & E.13 LG Chainguide BRAKES: Avid Juicy 3 Hydraulic Disc, 203mm Rotors

Tommaso Aggraziato Carbon Shimano Ultegra Road Bike (Professional Race)

Price: 1,499.95
BKRB-197-9-2

Carbon Tommaso Aggraziato: The Tommaso carbon Aggraziato hits the sweet spot in carbon road bikes. All the great Shimano components you could possibly want on a Tommaso at a price only Randall Scott can offer. It is the complete package with a carbon fork, FSA crank Omega crank, Tommaso Racing Series saddle and Shimano Ultegra components for $1799.00! How does Tommaso make bikes at such great deals? Easy, they dont expect customers to pay for the marketing budget of a pro tour team or over-hyped advertisements. At Tommaso Bicycles the employees do all the real world testing 365 days a year in house¦well, on the road, the mountains, the trail, and the path. At the Randall Scott Company we have online bike purchasing dialed. No more smug attitudes at the local bike shop because you dont feel the need to sell a kidney to buy a bike. Like the say at Tommaso: We want you to Over Play not Over Pay! The Aggraziato starts with a light and responsive frame you will find on our highest level carbon bike. The TRS monocoque frame and carbon fork with aluminum steer have been engineered to handle quick, float up mountains and carve down the other side. The Ultegra shifters are paired with the Shimano Ultegra rear derailleur and Shimano 105 front derailleur. The Shimano Ultegra STI controls allow for sure handed shifting and braking without removing your hands from the handlebars. The TRS Tommaso saddle has more padding on the saddles pressure points to aid with comfort. The racy-sleek saddle is finished in a custom silver color that matched the handlebar wrap perfectly. The FSA Omega compact crank with external bottom bracket bearings is ideal for cyclist looking to get to the next level. The 50/34 chainring combination on the crank is a slightly smaller gear for those of us that arent racing the Tour de France this year. It enables the user to climb with less stress on the knees and joints while cruising quickly along the flats and descents. The compact crank makes for less complex shifting than a triple and is lighter. The Tommaso Frame The Tommaso Aggraziato s foundation is a state of the art carbon frame that shares from the same design concepts found on the top of the line Tommaso bikes. Tommaso uses a compact geometry and detailed tubing lengths per frame size. This ensures that the rider gets the lightest, strongest and best performing and fitting frame for the dollar. The compact design and geometry place the rider in the optimum position for steady handling and comfort. The Aggraziato has a carbon fork to absorb he high-frequency buzz from the road. This means more miles of comfort and better handling. Tommaso, and other big names in cycling, such as Giant, Specialized, Trek, Masi, and Felt to name a few, rely on compact geometry to best serve the needs of the customer. Compact geometry has a number of advantages for the rider. First of all, the phrase compact geometry is signifying that the top tube (the bar you stand over when not in motion) is sloped downward from the front to the rear of the bike. This enables the rider to get on and off the bike easily. Traditional frame geometry has a top tube that is parallel to the ground and harder to get a leg over. By sloping the top tube we get into the second benefit of the compact frame: With less material used in producing the frame a lighter frame can be produced. Third, the more material sitting lower on the bike the better the bike will handle. By lowering the center of gravity the bike wants to descend, corner and sprint better. The Tommaso Fit Sizing a compact bike is no different, or more difficult, than any other style of bike. By reviewing the size chart you will see a measurement called the Eff Top Tube measurement, also known as the Effective Top Tube Measurement. This is what the top tube would measure if it was parallel to the ground. It is an imaginary line the runs from the center of the head tube to the center of the seat tube if the seat tube was extended like a traditional frame. The size chart also lists suggested heights for the different frame sizes. This is far more helpful in sizing a bike than standing over the top tube and pulling up on the handlebars (which tells you nothing about the fit of a bike). Tommaso offers seven sizes to accommodate riders large and small. It will be easy to find a fit for all of our customers. The stem can also be flipped and adjusted for a lower back-friendly position to a more streamline position in minutes. The lower top tube keeps the center of gravity low and the makes for an easy approach to getting on the bike. This Tommaso bike was designed with the users needs and comfort as the #1 priority. The Tommaso Feel Tommaso spent a lot of time on choosing what makes a bike enjoyable to ride. Tommaso upgraded the saddle to the lightweight and sleek TRS Racing saddle for added comfort. The handlebar wrap was chosen for its comfort and durability. The compact gearing is perfect for all of us wanting to ride the open road no matter if it goes up, down or flat. The lightweight Tommaso carbon frame and carbon fork will be great company for many, many miles. There are plenty of carbon bikes on the market. Most manufacturers use them to fill price points while focusing on the $6,000.00 dream machines that are given to the pros (at the consumers expense) or bikes that find their way into only a few garages. At The Randall Scott Company our philosophy is simple: Ride, just ride. We want everyone to enjoy the experience and feel good about their bike. We realize that there are other things you will need while cycling and we keep prices low so you can get them all. What will you need? A helmet, spare tube kit, water bottles and cages, shorts, jersey and most of all the desire for adventure. Tommaso Augusta "Tricked Out" Track Bike (Limited Edition)

Price: 449.95
RB8609002

Tommaso Augusta Tricked Out Track Bike: With the Tommaso customers excited about the classic black Tommaso Augusta the folks over at Tommaso thought it was time to release another model to the Augusta famiglia (family). In contrast to the all black Tommaso Augusta Ninja comes the deep blue Augusta Tricked Out with white components. The contrast of the two colors is bellissimo! Simplicity is the genius behind the fixed gear bike. No shift or brake cables to adjust. No derailleur to tempt your concern. The Tommaso Augusta is a simple soulful frame with a few necessary parts to make up the complete machine. The new look and feel of the Augusta is the strong steel frame with minimal logos, white deep dish wheels, white riser handlebar, white grips, white stem, white seatpost, and a white San Marco Ponza Power saddle. Even the chain is bianco we mean white! Tommaso worked hard on getting the look just right. Yeah, weve seen all the ugly commercial bikes holding the dust off the floor at the local shops. This is a departure from the bandwagon jumping companies making cookie cutter bikes just to fill a spot in the line. This is the real deal made by people who have spent thousands of miles in the saddle and not in the boardroom. We here at The Randall Scott Company ride the Augusta everywhere. It is perfect for commuting and knocking around town. Nothing to maintain, killer looks, this bike is ideal for the messenger in all of us. At The Randall Scott company we have a parking problem inside! We have bikes parked at every desk. Why be packed like lemmings in tiny metal boxes (The Police, Synchronicity II)? Got out of the car, grab a Timbuk2 bag, and head to work, play or pub. Bad days at work or play are immediately erased by a good rip through town. The Tommaso Frame At the heart of the Tommaso Augusta is a strong steel frame with track geometry. This makes for a ride that is buttery smooth and fast. A slightly steeper seat tube and a shorter rake on the fork make for pure power transfer and precise handling. The Augusta steel fork is designed to take the accelerations on the banked corners of the velodrome as well as the rigors of commuting on the road. The fork and frame are drilled to accommodate a road caliper brake. This year Tommaso even added a water bottle mount to the seat tube for those long adventures. The Tommaso Fit The Tommaso Augusta is designed with a standard geometry. This means the top tube is parallel to the ground. As with most classic steel frames the seat tube and top tube are almost the same size. This is called the classic square geometry and is very easy to fit. We have provided sizing and suggested rider heights for every model of Tommaso bike. Just click the Size Chart link to review the information. The Tommaso Feel Not all track bikes will see the track. Most are at home for commuting and letting loose after a long week of work. Tommaso has provided a great bike for training on the road and working on the perfect pedal stroke. Riding a fixed bike will shed light on poor pedaling performance within 30 revolutions. Bad pedaling performance is called pedaling squares. This means the rider is not supplying even and fluid strokes to the pedals. On a fixed gear bike those dead areas of the stroke will be felt by the rider when the gear is fixed. The fixed gear will force the rider to pedal with fluid and constant power all the way around the stroke. The best riders on the road will have the best pedal stroke. Consider the Tommaso Augusta an inexpensive cycling coach. Technical pedaling data aside, the Augusta is just plain fun to ride. Of course we would be lying if we didnt mention our spirited trips to the Irish pub in town. The Tommaso Augusta comes with a 16 tooth fixed cog installed on a flip-flop hub that can also accept a single-speed freewheel. This is for those that want to coast or have an addiction to pedaling backwards approaching a stop light. The Augusta will arrive to you with a 16t fixed gear. We propose giving the fixie feel a try. Tommaso Augusta Ninja Track Bike

RB8609001

Tommaso Augusta Ninja Track Bike: The Tommaso Augusta is such a great bike at a great price we always sell out fast. This year we decided to give you three Tommaso Augusta track/commuter/pub pedal bikes for you to make your choice. For starters we have the updated blacked out Tommaso Augusta track bike. This bike is the real deal with track geometry and components. We sent our Product Manager to the new Boulder Indoor Cycling Track to test out the bike. He came back all smiles. Other companies throw a fixed gear hub in a frame and call it a track bike. They think if it looks like a track bike that is close enough. Well that wont cut it in the track world. There are track corners to consider and crank length. A lot of the śtrackť bikes/fixies out there wont be allowed near a track due to improper geometry. Track frames need to have higher bottom brackets and steeper angles. They also need to be able to handle the force coming out of the banked corners. The track tells no lies. That means if your bike isnt designed for the track the track will let you know. There sis nothing worse that fighting your own bike to keep it upright on the track. You need solid handling and a great fit. At Tommaso we suited up and worked the Tommaso Augusta on the track. Like Back in Black this bike rocks! At the heart of the Tommaso Augusta is a strong steel frame with a track geometry. This makes for a ride that is buttery smooth and fast. A slightly steeper seat tube and a shorter rake on the fork make for pure power transfer and precise handling. The Augusta steel fork is designed to take the accelerations on the banked corners of the velodrome as well as the rigors of the road. The frame is designed specifically for a 120mm track hub and 700c wheels. The fork and frame are drilled to take a road caliper brake. Not all track bikes will see the track. Tommaso has provided a great bike for training on the road and working on the perfect pedal stroke. Riding a fixed bike will shed light on poor pedaling performance within 30 revolutions. Bad pedaling performance is called śpedaling squares.ť This means the rider is not supplying even and fluid strokes to the pedals. This is called the classic śsquare geometryť and is very easy to fit. We have provided sizing and suggested rider heights for every model of Tommaso bike. Just click the śSize Chartť link to review the information. Bad pedaling performance is called śpedaling squares.ť This means the rider is not supplying even and fluid strokes to the pedals. On a fixed gear bike those śdead areasť of the stroke will be felt by the rider when the gear is fixed. Tommaso Augusta Old School Track Bike (Limited Edition)

Price: 449.95
RB8609003

Tommaso Augusta Old School: With the major success of the classic black Tommaso Augusta the product team over at Tommaso thought it was time to release a limited edition model into the Augusta famiglia (family). In contrast to the all black Augusta Ninja comes the Augusta Old School in apple green. Together with the silver components and the leather accents this bike is Old School all the way. Simplicity is the genius behind the fixed gear bike. No shift or brake cables to adjust. No derailleur to tempt your concern. Like jeans and a t-shirt over a suit and tie its just what you want. The Tommaso Augusta is a simple soulful frame with a few necessary parts to make up the complete machine. The spirit of the Augusta Old School is the strong steel frame with minimal logos, silver deep dish wheels, hand sewn leather grips, silver riser handlebar, silver seatpost, silver -18 degree quill stem, one inch threaded fork and brown leather colored saddle. Tommaso worked hard on getting the look just right. Yeah, weve all seen the ugly commercial bikes holding the dust off the floor at the local shops. This is a departure from the bandwagon-jumping companies making cookie cutter bikes just to fill a spot in the line. The 1-inch quill stem at -18 degrees is a fantastic classic touch. Not to be overlooked is the hand sewn grips and riser bar. Tommaso left the bar wide so you can custom cut it to fit. We want you to express yourself with this ride! At The Randall Scott company we have a parking problem inside! We have bikes parked at every desk. Why be packed like lemmings in tiny metal boxes (The Police, Synchronicity II)? Got out of the car, grab a Timbuk2 bag, and head to work, play or pub. Tommaso Corvo Carbon Shimano 105 Road Bike (Professional Race)

Price: 1,199.95
BKRB-197-9-1

Carbon Tommaso Corvo: The Tommaso carbon Corvo road bike is your fast and affordable way into the high end world of Tommaso carbon race bikes. It is the complete package with a carbon fork, FSA crank, Tommaso Racing Series saddle and Shimano 105/Tiagra components for $1299.00! How does Tommaso make bikes at such great deals? Easy, they dont expect customers to pay for the marketing budget of a pro tour team. The Corvo starts with the same frame you will find on our highest level carbon bike. The TRS monocoque frame and carbon fork with aluminum steer have been engineered to handle quick, float up mountains and carve down the other side. The updated Tiagra shifters come with the new optical gear display for easy shifting execution and hand comfort. This means you can see what gear you are in while accessing the controls for braking and shifting without removing your hands from the handlebars. The TRS Tommaso saddle has more padding on the saddles pressure points to aid with comfort. The FSA Vero compact is ideal for cyclist of all levels. The Tommaso Frame The Tommaso Corvos foundation is a state of the art carbon frame that shares from the same design concepts found on the top of the line Tommaso bikes. Tommaso uses a compact geometry and detailed tubing lengths per frame size. This ensures that the rider gets the lightest, strongest and best performing and fitting frame for the dollar. The compact design and geometry place the rider in the optimum position for steady handling and comfort. The Corvo has a carbon fork to absorb he high-frequency buzz from the road. Tommaso Corvo Premium Spec: Tommaso 12K Carbon Monocoque Compact Frame Shimano Tiagra/105 Components FSA Vero 50/34 Compact Crankset Tommaso TRS racing handlebars, stem and seatpost Tommaso TRS lightweight racing saddle All Tommaso bikes are packed and shipped in a specially designed, reusable high density foam and cardboard box. Tommaso Superleggera Carbon Shimano Dura-Ace Road Bike (Professional)

Price: 1,799.95
BKRB-197-9-4

Carbon Tommaso Superleggera: The Tommaso carbon Superleggera is Tommasos premium carbon bike with Shimano Dura-Ace. Heres the best part, its the ultimate riding machine and its $1999.99! Yes, some companies charge thousands of dollars more for a carbon Dura-Ace bike¦does it make you wonder why? As Public enemy said: Dont believe the hype! All the great Shimano components you could possibly want on a Tommaso at a price only Randall Scott can offer. It is the complete package with a carbon fork, stiffer than carbon FSA crank Gossamer crank, Tommaso Racing Series saddle and Shimano Dura-Ace components for $1999.99! They sweat, race and bleed Tommaso! At the Randall Scott Company we have online bike purchasing dialed. No more smug attitudes at the local bike shop because you dont feel the need to sell a kidney to buy a bike. Like the say at Tommaso: We want you to Over Play not Over Pay! The Superleggera starts with a light and responsive race proven frame. The TRS monocoque frame and carbon fork with aluminum steer have been engineered to handle quick, float up mountains and carve down the other side. The Shimano 7800 Dura-Ace shifters are paired with the Shimano 7800 Dura-Ace rear derailleur and Shimano 6600 Ultegra front derailleur. The Shimano Dura-Ace STI controls allow for sure handed shifting and braking without removing your hands from the handlebars. The TRS Tommaso saddle has more padding on the saddles pressure points to aid with comfort. The racy-sleek saddle was designed for those who ride long hours in the saddle, not just talk about them. The FSA Gossamer compact crank with external bottom bracket bearings is ideal for cyclist looking to get to the next level. This crank has won pro races on multiple continents! The Tommaso Frame The Tommaso Superleggeras foundation is a state of the art carbon frame that is the pinnacle of Tommasos line. Tommaso uses a compact geometry and detailed tubing lengths per frame size. This ensures that the rider gets the lightest, strongest and best performing and fitting frame for the dollar. The compact design and geometry place the rider in the optimum position for steady handling and comfort. The Superleggera has a carbon fork to absorb he high-frequency buzz from the road. The Tommaso Frame The Tommaso Tiempos foundation is a 100% chromoly steel frame that shares the same design concepts found in the top of the line Tommaso bikes. The Tommaso Feel The Tommaso Velocita Rival utilizes the 50/36 Rival compact crank for three simple reasons. The elite athletes love the stiffness of the 6061 aluminum cranks over carbon cranks, the price to performance is amazing and the compact gearing gets you everywhere. With the 50/36 gearing of the Rival crank will take you anywhere the road goes. The beauty of the compact crank is its simplicity and lightweight characteristics over a heavier triple crank while supplying the user a very knee-friendly gear ratio that is easier to command. With two chainrings instead of three the distance between the crank arms thus lowering the Q-factor and providing better pedaling dynamics. The SRAM Rival GXP bottom bracket is made up from two oversized external cartridge bearing. The larger bearings and their placement outside of the bottom bracket shell makes for stiffer cranks and better power distribution. Putting the bike in motion is the Kore Gradient II wheelset. These wheels are built with a radial laced 24-spoke front and two cross 28-spoke rear for a combination of aerodynamics, strength and lightweight. The Kore Gradient II wheels are built with Kore Sandvik stainless steel spokes matched up with a semi-aero 24mm rim with CNC machined braking surface and high-end sealed cartridge bearings. Other highlights include Kores aluminum 6061 double butted anatomical handlebar and 3D forged 6061 Race Stem. Holding the San Marco Ponza Power saddle in steady is the Kore 6061 aluminum post. These components are light, strong and built to last. The grip to the road is provided by the world famous Continental Ultra Race tires. The small groove pattern in the tire provides better wet-weather grip and amazing corner traction. Whats the difference between what the pros ride and what we sell? Very little, mostly just price.
